We're so excited that you're interested in FatCycled and our mission to promote a circular fashion economy! Here are some answers to the questions you may have as you look around. 

1. What is FatCycled?
   FatCycled is the passion project of our two founders, Kait & Madi, who were trying to solve for an issue they encountered when second-hand shopping. Read our "About Us" section for more details around our mission, vision, and plan for FatCycled!
   
   
2. Does FatCycled have a storefront or brick & mortar shop?
   We love that you all want to visit us in person! As we are a small start-up with a micro-team of two, we are only available to meet you in-person on Saturdays and/or Sundays (depending on the week) at our new location! But we suggest keeping an eye on our instagram for any variations to the regular Saturday schedule, especially over the summer months.
   
   
3. How do I know if a piece will fit me?
   We do our best to share the sizing details of each of the items that we are selling. Many of our items are NWT and have the original retailer listed. We have included sizing charts where possible to help our shoppers feel confident in the sizing or fit! If you need more measurements, please send us an email at fatcycled@gmail.com to provide more details about fit and sizing. You can also try on in-person from Wed-Sun at 1652 Queen St W in Parkdale in the Creative Outlet collective. 
   
   
4. How does shipping work? 
   Shipping is flat-rate $20 per order. We also offer local pick-up (it's free)! As soon as you receive your pick up notification you can pick up at our new location. All shipped orders will be sent by the Saturday of the week you placed your order. In all cases, we’ll try our best to ship things out earlier whenever possible! If the Saturday falls on a holiday, we’ll do our best to ship it out earlier but this will likely extend shipping into the next week. 
   
   
5. How are items procured? What condition should I expect my piece to arrive in?
   Each of our pieces have been curated from our own closets - let's normalize outgrowing things! - or has been purchased by us through second-hand/thrifting outings. As this idea has been in our minds for a while, we've held onto our most loved and prized fashion pieces. Each item will have a different level of wear and that will be listed in the product details. We have some items that are well-loved and worn-in. We also have lots of items that are NWT and never fit into our main clothing lineup so we decided to list them for someone else to love! Our NWT items will not come laundered when they arrive to you as they will be in original condition with tags. Each second-hand item will be freshly laundered with unscented detergent before it's shipped to you so you can wear it as soon as it's in your hands!
   
   
6. Does FatCycled do consignment?
   Consignment is OPEN as we have a need for new items! Ideally, we are looking for summer clothes, so reach out to us if you’re interested in setting up an appointment. We do consignment appointments every Saturday from 11-6pm. Please bring up to 10 items to your consignment appointment, as that is what we're able to handle and access in the 30 min appointment period. Your items must be freshly laundered, preferably with unscented detergent, and cannot have any stains or marks. If your items arrive and require cleaning, there is a $25 laundering service as we will have to manage the cleaning ourselves. As we are a micro team, we really ask that folks please be considerate of these requirements to make the appointment as smooth as possible! If that doesn’t work for you, please send us a note and we'll do our best to make something work as we are able to schedule Zoom appointments on an as-needed basis.
